The third Greater Kailash, and the Masjid Moth question
Greater Kailash grew in stages. GK-I came first, then GK-II to its south-east, and as GK-II filled up, development spilled into the land between and around them, which the market came to call GK-III. Our own South Delhi map places it as a pocket between GK-I and GK-II, inside the Greater Kailash belt.
The name you will see beside it is Masjid Moth. That is the older local name for this stretch, and it covers more than one kind of property: the plotted GK-III pocket with its builder floors, the DDA flats that carry the Masjid Moth name, and the older village settlement. Listings often lump all three together as “GK-3”.
On our South Delhi map, GK-III sits in the Greater Kailash belt alongside GK-I, GK-II, Kailash Colony, Chirag Enclave and CR Park, the deepest market for new builder floors in the city, where land runs from about ₹8 to ₹11 lakh per square yard. GK-III sits toward the lower end of that range, which is exactly why it attracts buyers who want the belt without the GK-II ticket.
For anyone buying property in Greater Kailash 3, that matters more than the history. The plotted pocket is where the new stilt-plus-four floors are, on plots of roughly 217 to 300 sq yd. The DDA flats are a different product, in a lower circle-rate band, and older village properties need a different kind of title check altogether.
