As many as 3,340 building plans have been approved online during the past two years under North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s ease of doing business policy, the civic body said today. In a statement, NDMC said 71 occupancy certificates have been issued during this period and about 54 such certificates are under process.
The government will divide the capital into 30 zones, each with a nodal officer to ensure that no illegal or unauthorised construction is carried out in that area. Residents of the civic area no longer need to visit SDMC offices to submit their application for building plan as the paperless digital process could be fulfilled online. Status of application can also be checked by the applicants, said a senior SDMC official.
